Unsere Partnerorganisation VIEWS International - www.viewsinternational.eu - bietet 3 Plätze im Europäischen Freiwilligendienst für bis zu 12 Monate für junge Leute mit Seheinschränkung von 18 bis 30 Jahren.
Ihr arbeitet ab Herbst für 9-10 Monate in Liège. Details können auch individuell angepasst werden.
Die drei möglichen Einsatzstellen sind im VIEWS Büro bei der Organisation internationaler Projekte oder in einem interkulturellen Zentrum oder in einer Sonderschule.
Unterkunft und Verpflegung sowie ein Taschengeld werden gestellt.
Ihr erhaltet außerdem Unterstützung bei Mobilität und anderen Alltagsaufgaben.
Französisch-Grundkenntnisse sind für diese Projekte wichtig.

Project 1: VIEWS
VIEWS International (VI) is a European NGO based in Liège, Belgium, and dedicated to empowering visually impaired youth across Europe. Our diverse team of visually impaired and sighted people works together to develop impactful youth projects that promote international mobility, independence, and social inclusion.
Tasks of the volunteer:
• Supporting local and international activities of the Executive Office.
• Developing intercultural and leisure activities for both sighted and visually impaired youth, in collaboration with our network of local partners.
• Organising and assisting with awareness-raising activities focused on the importance of international mobility programmes and the needs and lifestyle of young people with visual impairments.

PROJECT 2: COORDINATION SOCIO-CULTURELLE DE SAINTE-MARGUERITE (CSCSM)
Within this project, the volunteer works closely with the Coordination Socio-Culturelle Sainte-Marguerite (CSCSM) and NGO La Baraka, two organisations working in a multicultural setting, in the primary immigration neighbourhood in Liège, Sainte Marguerite. The project is aimed at fighting against marginalisation and social exclusion through the support to disadvantaged youth.
Their work will be primarily focused on:
• Supporting the in-person courses of French as a Foreign Language for non-francophone teenagers;
• Implementing common activities with the local associations;
• Running workshops and discussion groups on various topics, either within the French courses at La Baraka or in collaboration with other member associations;
• Editing the information bimonthly newspaper «Salut Maurice!»

PROJECT 3: IRHOV
The volunteer will primarily work with the IRHOV school. The Institut Royal pour les Handicapés de l’Ouie et de la Vue (IRHOV) comprises two specialised schools for youth aged 3 to 21 with visual and hearing impairments. IRHOV is dedicated to innovative projects in both formal and non-formal education, incorporating sports and cultural activities tailored to the needs of those with sensory impairments.
During the volunteering experience at IRHOV, the volunteer will engage in various activities that benefit students and their families. Key roles will include:
• Supporting and organising extracurricular activities such as sports days, theatre, and reading sessions;
• Enhancing connections between families and strengthening community bonds within the school;
• Raising awareness about visual impairment and supporting others in understanding the barriers and challenges faced by persons with visual impairments;
• Promoting a positive image of visual impairment to students from mainstream schools to foster inclusivity.
